The Troop Committee Challenge is designed to
teach a whole troop committee on how to function as
a support team to the program the troop's Scouts
have planned. There are many functions that a troop
committee needs to do for a successful troop
program. These functions include: Advancement,
Outdoor Programs, Treasurer, Secretary,
Transportation and more. Through hands-on
experiential learning, this training will also
enable troop committee members to better deliver
the promise in support of the troop, Scoutmaster
and Scouts.
Although available at District training events,
this training is best when delivered to all of the
troop committee at once. The District Training
Committee can train your whole committee together
at a place and time that works best for your
committee members. It should also include the
Scoutmaster and, if possible, Assistant
Scoutmasters.
