Volunteer Position Description: 

District Family Enrollment Chairman

Responsible To:

District Chairman/Vice Chairman of Administration  

 

Definition/General Position Statement:

The chairman is responsible for recruiting, training and managing a full staff of campaign volunteers.

Key Responsibility Areas:

    Make a generous contribution to the Friends of Scouting campaign.

    Review Scouting units who have conducted a family solicitation in the past and identify additional units with the potential to conduct a successful family solicitation.

    Set appropriate objectives to achieve the Family goal.

   Implement the suggested District Family Enrollment Plan in the District, tailored to fit specific District needs.

   Implement a Pacesetter Unit Plan in the district. Recruit Pacesetter Chairman and assist
in the identification of units and recruitment of volunteers in those units to affect a
successful unit campaign.                                                                                                                                .

    Establish the appropriate organization structure to best execute the plan and achieve goal.

   Recruit Vice Chairmen who are responsible for recruiting Unit Presenters and scheduling
presentations.

   Recruit Zone Chairmen who are responsible for assisting Unit Campaign Coordinators.

 

    With your Vice Chairmen Scheduling/Presenters provide training for Family Enrollment Presenters and assist the Pacesetter Chairman in conducting a Unit Coordinator Training.

    Review progress/results on a regular basis, conduct District report meetings, and complete the Family Enrollment by April 30.

    Attend a Council Orientation Meeting, scheduled Council report meetings, and the Coordinated Friends of Scouting Victory Celebration.
