FOS DISTRICT CHAIRMAN
CAMPAIGN PROFILE
Friends of Scouting is the Sam Houston Area Council's annual fundraising campaign. Districts in the Sam Houston Area Council conduct a District Enrollment Campaign as a part of the overall Friends of Scouting effort. This campaign is conducted on a district level by local community leadership to secure the financial support of individuals and companies in the area.
RESPONSIBLE TO:

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
A volunteer recruited by the Steering Committee who is responsible with the Campaign Director for recruiting and managing a volunteer team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Attend the District Enrollment Orientation Meeting on November 10.
* Be personally involved in the campaign and make a generous contribution to the Friends of Scouting campaign.
* Understand the scope of Scouting Program in the Sam Houston Area Council.
* Recruit appropriate number of community chairman/captains.
* Identify new prospects and assist in the process of assigning new and existing prospects to the most effective campaign volunteer.
* Host a minimum of three Report meetings.
* Attend scheduled Council report meetings, and the Council Coordinated Friends of Scouting Appreciation Celebration.
* Review progress and results on a regular basis and achieve goal by May 17th .
