TO: ALL TOMAHAWK DISTRICT TICKET SALES
CHAIRMEN

Dust off those uniforms and brush up on those smiles, for the 2006 Scout Fair is right around the corner. The tickets this year are in the same format as last year with the addition of a few more sponsors. Selling Scout Fair tickets gives each scout the opportunity to earn great prizes, while providing a fund-raising project to support your unit. The greatest benefit each scout earns is the opportunity to practice the skills of presenting himself to the public and marketing his product….skills he will need throughout life. Cubbies love to sell and they are awfully hard to turn down. Older scouts may already have a developed an entire list of prospective buyers from previous years.
VERY IMPORTANT THINGS FOR YOU TO REMEMBER:
For your safety and ours, only checks will be accepted
at district turn-ins. Please deposit cash into your
personal or unit account and then write a check payable to BSA-SHAC or Boy
Scouts of America. Just like
re-charter one check per unit would
really help expedite the turn-in process.
There is a weekly drawing

A scout will earn a Salesman Patch when he has sold his first 10 tickets. Patches will be available at the scheduled turn-ins. The Patches are very cool!
Prize stamps are earned for each ticket sold and can be redeemed at the Houston Scout Shops or the Scout Fair.
Triple stamps will be earned for each ticket sold and money turned in to me or council by 3/20/2006.
Double stamps will be earned for each ticket sold and money turned in to me or council by 04/10/2006.
Beginning 04/11/2006 single stamps will be earned.
If your turn money or tickets in to the council office, please let me now by phone or email immediately with the unit #, receipt# (keep receipt for your records), transaction amount and type ($$or tickets).
All unsold tickets must be returned in order to clear your account and receive the commission check. When returning partial envelopes write the number of remaining tickets on the outside of the envelope. It makes it much easier to add up the amount returned.
In order to pick up your commission check at the Scout Fair, your account must be cleared with Council before April 19th.
Please verify that I have the correct committee chairman listed for your unit. That is who the commission check will be payable (and mailed) to.
The names for the top 3 salesmen from your unit should be turned in to me when you clear your account-however, I must have them by 04/21/2006 Noon Deadline. No Exceptions.
